    I am interested in using this on an intranet I am working on. We use multiple screen resolutions in our company Is it possible to have the webpart scale its size dynamically?

    • lwbapps

      Hi Franz,

      I am uploading a new version of the app to allow the Carousel News App to scale dynamically.
      And you will be able get the new version from the app store within a week.
      To make it work in your environment, please make sure the container of the app can be scaled dynamically.
      By default SharePoint 2013 sets the minimum width of the content area to be 703px, and it prevents the app from resizing in my testing.
      #contentBox {
      margin-left: 220px;
      margin-right: 20px;
      min-width: 703px;
      }

      Cheers,

    Hello – we are required to comply with WCAG 2.0 Accessibility standards on our intranet (preferably Level AA) – does this app comply with these standards? Thank you.

    • lwbapps

      Hi Michael,

      Thanks for your inquiry.
      Unfortunately, the App doesn’t meet the requirments of WACG 2.0 compliance by default, especially in regards to the Color Contrast requirements, but you could customize the alternative CSS settings to make it comply with WCAG 2.0 standards if you have SharePoint Admins/Developers in your organization.

      Cheers,

    Hello,
    Is it possible to add this app more than once to a SP site? I would like to use it at least twice on the same site – is this possible?

  • Milos

    Hi Wenbin,

    Do you have on premises version of this webpart?

    Thanks Mike

    Is there a way to have bullet points or line breaks in the description section? I would like to add a little formatting to this section instead of just one long paragraph.

    • lwbapps

      Hi Paul,

      Yes, you can use custom HTML tags to format the description area.
      For example, you can put the following text as the description for one of the item to show bullet points.

      • aaa
      • bbb
      • ccc

      If any further questions, please let me know.

      Cheers,

    Hi Wenbin,
    What is the license for this app? Can I use this apps in any sites for my organisation?
    Thanks.

    • lwbapps

      Hi Mavis,

      It’s a farm level license, once you purchased the app, you can use it anywhere within your SharePoint farm.
      If any further questions, please let me know.

      Cheers,

    Hi Wenbin,
    did you change the view setting of the carousel news roator, I used to be able to choose “Elegant view, standard view… etc”
    Thanks.

    • lwbapps

      Hi Mavis,

      There is no change made to the views, and the views are actually defined/controlled by your SharePoint admin.
      And if you can’t see the views, please go to the the list settings and recreate the views if they are not there.

      If any further questions, please let me know.

      Thanks,
      Wenbin Liang

    Hi Wenbin,

    We tried to install on our SP13 dev environment to test to see if it’d work for news in our intranet portal. We are unable to see or get to the configuration screen. The admin account used to install has full permissions and worked for other web part installations We noticed is shows under Our Apps with a message that says you can’t install this app here. We tried installing using the SharePoint Store. Is there instructions or suggestions on why we cannot get to work?

    Thanks,
    Josilyn

    Hi Wenbin,

    Hope you are well. I have purchased your apps for my farm.
    I am experiencing the slider shrinked to narrow height when the page first loads, The LWB slider is appeared like a very short slider, height is not right.

    The issue resolves itself after hitting refresh on the browser. It is not ideal because we do not want staff to do it manually each time they visit.

    Please let me know how this can be configured to resolve?
    Thanks.

    Hi Wenbin, Is it possible to change the sort order so the biggest number appear in the first slide? We have 40 images and want to have the newest image to appear first. At the moment, the smallest number appear in the first slide. Thanks.
